Manuel Grullón Hernández

Considered a visionary entrepreneur, Manuel Grullón Hernández is a dominican businessman, a firm advocate of the fintech and financial inclusion movements in his country, considering this second one of his greatest goals.

With more that 15 years of experience in the creation of start-ups, multiple innovations in the mobile industry and financial industry applied technologies.

His academic achievements include a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida International University (FIU), in the United States; A Master’s Degree in Corporate Social Responsibility at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM); An Executive MBA (EMBA) at Barna Business School, last two completed in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

His role in the digital transformation industry includes relevant career milestones such as:

Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GCS, established as the leading Fintech company in the Dominican Republic, with an impressive 11 year expertise in the development of digital payment solutions, with highly awarded products like “tPago”, Dominican Republic’s first mobile payment platform; and “Mi Punto” a service network with thousands of agent locations across the country; Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nerdot, a tech-savvy company that provides a wide range of services such as device repairs, automation systems, digital logistics, among other solutions for home and businesses alike; President of the Board of Directors of RE/MAX Dominican Republic, catalyzing a new stage for this international franchise, with the help of innovation and productivity in line with the technological transformation of the real estate industry; In 2020 he was appointed as Member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Popular and Banco Popular Dominicano, named best digital bank in the Dominican Republic, for considering innovation its core value.

Due to his socio-economic centered goals, he supports various non-profit non-governmental organizations as Founding Member and former President of the Dominican Association of Fintech Companies (AdoFinTech) during the 2018-2020 period; Board of Regents Member of the OMG institute; Member of the Board of Trustees of Rumsey Hall School in the city of Connecticut, United States.

In previous years, he also served as Member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) and of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Committee for the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic.
